Fairwind

Presents Medium-Power Wind Turbines

In Belgium, an alternative to traditional wind turbines has emerged thanks to ENGIE’s partnership with Fairwind. Instead of large blades placed high on a mast, small blades rotate around a vertical axis. This mechanism allows wind to be caught at low altitudes and produces green electricity, all with a reduced footprint and decreased noise levels. This solution meets the needs of farms and SMEs while limiting their CO2 emissions.

The adventurers behind this project

Behind this project, there are women and men working together to shape a better world for all of us. Their strength lies in the complementary nature of their expertise and their drive to lead a powerful collective effort that benefits all. These passionate people are the Imaginative Builders.

Philippe Montironi

"Our small wind turbines are a step in the right direction: In the future, energy will be produced and consumed locally.”

Tom van de Walle

"Tomorrow, our customers will approach energy self-sufficiency thanks to photovoltaic panels, wind turbines and batteries, all while remaining connected to the electricity and gas network for safety.”

Silvie Myngheer

"Thanks to small vertical axis wind turbines, countless companies and farmers will be able to produce enough of their own green electricity to cover their needs!”

Wind Energy, A Source of Green Electricity

What is the role of wind turbines? Transform wind energy into green, renewable, and clean electricity. Wind becomes a low-carbon and self-generated source of energy, produced and consumed locally. Wind turbines make it possible to reduce one’s ecological footprint while saving money. A great contribution to more harmonious progress.
